Please double-check the following list against your blog’s posts to make sure you're not missing anything (carefully follow the criteria specified for each item):
1. Basic facts and figures about your CCI field: make this an interesting article, quoting sources and providing links
2. List 10 major resources / references for researching your CCI field and write a little abstract about each one of these sources
3. Post your evaluation of the debate on "convergence" as an article
4. Post your creative business idea for your CCI field with its mission statement (add the image, sound and word that symbolise it)
5. Map (graphically) the ownership structure of your CCI field and list its major players(provide links to their sites)
Here are some tips to improve your posts:
1. Make your posts
more interactive by providing links to relevant sites and encouraging your readers’ participation.
Allow comments and offer a direct email address as part of your personal profile or on your main page.
2. You are encouraged to
add relevant images, sounds, videos and web links to make your posts more appealing to the readers.
3. Remember most visitors will scan – not read – your posts, therefore you need to make sure you use techniques such as the “rule of 2” and “text formatting rules” outlined in the Online Writing handout.
4. Assignments 1, 3 and 4 listed above require
a summary deck. Remember your first 60 characters will be given preference by search engines.
5.
Pull quotes are optional but encouraged for long posts.
6.
Spell check your posts! And – even better – have someone you trust
proofread them.
